The reason that the country has registered large scale company closure has not deterred acomms from claiming its stake in the I.C.T industry having done projects for such clients like

THE COMPANY
acomms (pvt) LTD is one of the leading IT distributors in the nation Zimbabwe. The company is based in Harare and it supplies a wide range of IT products and services such as computers, components and solutions, networking and support services. Established in April 2005, the company is 100% privately owned by the employee-owners and is managed by a board of employee-owners.

We have four ( 4 ) divisions:

NETWORKING DIVISION
This division provides networking and data communication solutions and off-site preventative maintenance. We have vast experience in Network setup and configurations giving us the unique ability to set up any size of network as per our client’s needs. We serve as an outsourced It department for organisations that require dynamic IT support and would rather concentrate on their core business.


DISTRIBUTION DIVISION
The distribution division retails various brands including but not limited to Hp, Dell, Toshiba, Cisco and 3 com. We cater for individual and corporate needs, providing a full range of products including Laptops, desktops, printers, projectors and servers, Networking components, consumables and accessories and software solutions and packages

IMPORTATION DIVISION
We assist individuals and corporates to import their machines and accessories. Primarily we major in power back up machines such as Industrial Diesel Generators, Flash Lights, Solar panels among other things. We also help in sourcing, procurement and importing of mining heavy machines and many more related machines as per Client’s needs.
TECHNICAL AND DEVELOPMENT DIVISION
We do off-site preventative and maintenance and repair of major IT brands. Our development division provides various software, website design and web based solutions to cater to specific needs.

Optical Fibre infrastructure Maintenance
We can also provide the service for the preventive and corrective maintenance carried out as defined by the SLA. For preventive maintenance all fibres are tested for the block sections and reported every month or as per SLA. If any defects in the fibre or in any of the associated equipment it will be rectified on the priority bases and report will be submitted to the customer as root cause analysis. For corrective maintenance, we will attend any fault and correct it within periods specified by the SLA. Link attributes like the spice loss/link loss after the rectification of fault are corrected to acceptable levels.

Power outages problem has been a major hinderance to the smooth flow of our clients’s businesses hence we diversify into power back up business. We import and also we help to import Industrial Diesel Generators from 9KVA - 3000 KVA. We have developed links and synergies with those manufacturers in the major manufacturing countries.
We major in the strongest and durable engines thus we supply the Cummins generators, Lovol, MTU, and other major brands in the Generators world.






Our efficiency in importation assistance has seen us diversifying into Mining and Construction machines importation assisting players in those two sectors of the economy.
