Reviews of DHL Harare, Zimbabwe

Poor communication. They don’t know there duty. I won’t recommend anybody to use DHL Zimbabwe. It was my last hope for my parcel to be delivered to me but it’s taking long and they don’t update you the progress.

They hold your package hostage for "customs fee" and they threaten you with a lot of payments as they make money off holding your package. Then they give abitrary numbers of how much you will pay , when you pay they say it's just an estimate, they hit you with another bill. Which is utter rubbish , just a way of them making money out of people, talk about daylight robbery. Never use DHL especially if it's coming to this corrupt place. This level of corruption needs to be exposed !!!

I sent a shoe sized box package , from Abu Dhabi UAE. It costed me 120 usd. When the package arrived, my sister was called by a personal private number not the dhl number . They told my family that Zimra needed 120usd to clear the items and they also needed 70us over that for taxes . My father went to hear them and they refused to show him the invoice .He ended up going to dhl at the Harare Int.Airport . They told him that the money needed was 100us and they receipted 2500 rtgs . The rest of the money was unaccounted for . They are stealing from people. How is it possible to be overstated of taxes when the actual shipping costs costed less ???? Can you explain that? The dhl harare Zimbabwe staff are stealing from people and both the airport and CBD branch staff are in the same syndicate . They are in correlation with this corruption . If you ask them to breakdown the tax charges they threaten to confiscate your package and send it to storage . DO NOT SEND ANYTHING WITH DHL ZIM THEY ARE A BUNCH OF THIEVES . .Try FEDEX OR NEVER BUT DHL ZIM IS A BIG NO! I HAVE WARNED YOU !

I had a small courier from SA to Harare, I was told it would take two working days, after a week of waiting, I was billed close to 50 USD for clearance( which I wasn’t told about beforehand), still haven’t received my parcel, it’s been over two weeks now. Never again !!!!!!! I am so disappointed! Horrible service!

We were told customs cost is 40us from UK we paid and people in Zim were told they needed another $105us.This parcel is only clothes it cost £75 to send. Very disappointed and ridiculously expensive. I don't believe its customs fees coz fees change if you speak to different people. I presume some people are pocketing these monies but why such a high amount

I’m very disappointed to note that only the listed telephone number for all the DHL Zimbabwe goes unanswered no matter how many times you call? Such poor service I must say!!!!!

I PAID FOR THE CLEARANCE FEE FOR A SMALL PARCEL A WEEK BEFORE THIS SATURDAY THE 20TH OF JUNE AND I AM STILL WAITING FOR DELIVERY. THE ONLY LINE FOR COMMUNICATION IS ALWAYS RINGING ENGAGED.

I wish i could give dhl 0 stars, My parcel is being held at Harare airport and dhl calls me and say i nid to drive all the way to the airport to clear it myself, and i hev to pay a hefty amount for clearance forms as well as duty on a envilope with herbal tea thats cost less than $20.DONT USE DHL

If I could give DHL Harare 0 stars I would. I sent a letter on the 23rd of May and it has been over a month and still it hasn't been delivered. They never answer their phones and when you go there all you get are excuses. My advice never use DHL Harare.

i am so disappointed with DHL. i would not recommend this company to anyone thinking of sending their goods to anyone! they have been keepin my parcel for two weeks now when everything has been paid for & they are just giving excuse after excuse
