I had a problem with termites in my lawn. The problem started as soon as I put some new lawn. Time went on and my gardener tried as much as he could to water and nurture it. His efforts however came to nothing. The problem, we discovered was with termites. Those huge ones. They left a trail of damage all over. My lawn developed empty patches because of termite damage. I was so much disappointed and sad because I love my garden.
In an effort to make it better, I engaged one company (not Pest Portal Zimbabwe). These guys came and sprayed the whole lawn and said they would give me a five year guaranty. I spent a good amount of money but that did not matter to me. I only wanted my lawn problem solved. One week down the line, there was not any visible positive change. I contacted the company and they promised they will come and check. They did not come. My efforts to make them address the problem did not bear fruit. They made it clear by their actions that they were not prepared to come. I gave up. The termite problem persisted.
One day, a family friend visited and he noticed the problem. I narrated my ordeal. He told me they had the same problem and engaged Pest Portal Zimbabwe, a local termite and pest control company. Not willing to give up on my problem and hopeful this time I contacted the company and they arranged an appointment. Exactly on the given time, their termite inspector came. I was impressed. He was courteous, polite and empathized with me. He said the company would solve the problem.The inspector went around. Then he explained to me one of the sources of the problem, a huge anthill/nest just outside my gate. This, he told me, was the source of my problems!!!!
With the detailed explanation and analysis of the termite problem he gave and the positive recommendation from the family friend, I gave them the work. They came and used a petrol powered machine that pumped fog into that nest by the gate. The company said they would give me a lifetime guarantee on this nest.
That was the last I saw of the termites. My lawn has grown greener and better since this company did their work.
Given their splendid work, I have not hesitated to give them a five star rating.
