Join us for a drive through the incomparable Matopos Recreational and Game Park. This is a great opportunity to see wild animals such as giraffe,kudus,zebras,impalas, warthogs and more. Our scenic route winds through the famous hills of Matopos, giving a spectacular view of the famous balancing rocks unique to this area. Enjoy frequent stops to capture photos of these unusual rock formations along our journey to Silunguzi Village.
On arrival in the village, you will be welcomed by Mr. Dube, a village elder and traditional healer with a profound knowledge of the area, and its fauna and flora. He will guide your visit to the Elephant Cave and the Fish Cave where you will explore the unspoiled cave paintings Mr. Dube himself discovered when he was just 15 years old. He is now over 75 years old
Continue your exploration of the Village as we trek to nearby hills, pausing at various points of interest. Enjoy traditional refreshments in the village and end the day watching the sunset from this spectacular viewpoint.
We will arrive back in Bulawayo just after dark – perfect for travelers proceeding to Victoria Falls on the overnight train or for your overnight stay in Bulawayo.

Day trip to Rhodes Matopos National Park from Bulawayo
Rhodes Matopos National Park is very famous for its large concentration of black eagle and leopard. About 45 minutes drive from Bulawayo takes us to Rhodes Matopos National Park.
This tour departs daily from Bulawayo, you will leave Bulawayo at 0900hrs for this great tour. You will explore the grave of Cecil John Rhodes, visit the bushman paintings and visit to the balancing rocks. Later in the afternoon, you will continue to the game park where the chances to see the black and the white rhino are very high. You will visit the Mpompoma dam and continue to the open plains in search of more wild animals. You will have your bush lunch on the viewing platform while you are viewing a wide variety of animals. You will finish your Matopos game drive around 0400hrs and you will be taken back to Bulawayo and dropped back to your hotel. Khami Ruins was built by the shona people after the fall of the Great Zimbabwe Ruins, it is spectacular stone structure building which is located about 25 kilometres from Bulawayo. This tour departs daily from Bulawayo, you will leave Bulawayo at 0900hrs and drive to Khami Ruins. Our Guide will lead your way to see the hill complex, different sections of the ruins, the Portuguese cross and you will also explore the khami river which is the only source of water in the area. By the mid afternoon, you will be dropped back by your hotel in Bulawayo. If you are a solo traveler, please enquire about an open group departure on this tour.
