Chief Inspector Investigations

 Preliminary evaluation of reported cases and creating investigation plans.
 Compiling dockets of a higher order and reviewing dockets compiled by subordinates.
 Preparing investigations reports.
 Supervision and Performance Management of Investigations teams.
 Enforcing procedure and policy compliance across Council and recommending appropriate internal controls on identified weaknesses and vulnerabilities in the security system.
 Conducting security assessments and risk profiling, and reviews of security systems and policies.
 Managing exhibits.

 Investigation of cases of misconduct and loss to Council due to theft, fraud, corruption and other mandate offenses.
 Enlistment of services of other security and law enforcement agencies such as the Zimbabwe Republic Police where necessary.
 Adducing evidence before internal disciplinary hearings on investigated cases and testifying in courts of law.
 Managing issuing Work Identification Cards to Council employees.
 Facilitating criminal and security vetting of new and revenue handling employees.

 Protection of Council assets.
 Enforcement of all Harare Municipal Bylaws and other relevant legislation of direct concern to Council.
 Bulk Cash movement (C.I.T) duties.
 VIP protection and security coverage for Council events and/or functions.
