Public Health Specialist

Ensure the department is aligned in terms of structure and functions to effectively strengthen the community systems.
Provide direct mentorship or training and supervisory support to the team at Ward level.
Effective communication to community members.
Coordination of relevant program with a good understanding of Ministerial functions and Government operations as well as the donor’s policies.
Monitor the program performance through submission of reports, meeting deadlines.
Taking corrective measures where necessary.

Designing of Monitoring and Evaluation tools.
Manage the maintenance of an updated database of all programs and projects in the Ministry.
Analyse reports from various departments and produce a generic report.
Analyse data statistically.
Verify the accuracy of data.

Supervise staff, displaying strong leadership skills.
Review workplace policies and procedures in the Ministry, interpreting policies and procedures so as to ensure that the working environment upholds employee well being as a culture acts appropriately.
Liaise with line Ministries to ensure that there is common ground in interpreting the labor and compensation issues.
Identify training needs, plan and implement training.
Recruitment and selection.

Girl guide mentor and social club leader on moral education, focusing on gender issues in adolescents.
Adhering to Public Service Regulations.
