• Implementing and maintaining Rio Tinto Plc Integrated SHE systems.
• Food policies implementation.
• Mechanical, Electrical and Personal safeguarding.
• Incident, investigation and recording.
• Management of fire and related emergencies.

• Guidance and Supervision of subordinates including undergraduates SHE trainees.
• Acting Project Manager in the absence of the incumbent Project Manager.
• Initiate, organise and carry out HIRA.
• Review and enforce SWPs for hazardous tasks.

• Formulation and implementing S.H.E management plan.
• Establish emergency preparedness plan.
• Solid waste management.
• Co-ordinate site establishment according to NSSA requirements.
• Promote a safe, healthy and environmental friendly workplace.
• Ensure PPC/E, tools and equipment is in good condition and is inspected before use.
• Advice employees on S.H.E issues.
• Conducting S.H.E internal Audits.
• Reporting and investigating all accidents.
• Establish and implement S.H.E working procedures.
• Ensure safe management of subcontractors on site.
• Develop training needs matrix.

• Ensuring S.H.E.R policies, legal requirements, Anglo Platinum S.H.E pack 6 and other codes of practices are being obeyed on site.
• Promote a culture in which health and safety are the prime concerns and will never be compromised.
• Participate in and contribute to the AMS Management.

• Conduct S.H.E induction training for all new and old employees.
• Update all S.H.E records.
• Updating of S.H.E statistics board on a daily and monthly basis.
• Organize and arrange S.H.E meetings.
• Collection and analysing effluent and water samples.
