Junior Research and Development Scientist

 Perform projects focused at increasing efficiency of fermentation
 Control microbiological quality for all critical control points around the factory
 Production of anhydrous ethanol using the triple column distillation
 Maintain and calibrate analytical instruments in the laboratory
 Analyze route causes for non-conformities and suggest corrective actions
 Present project reports to the Lab manager

 Assess microbiological quality of food products at different stages of manufacturing
(HACCP)
 Carry out hotel hygiene audits
 Analyze microbiology of portable water
 Perform chemical tests for food products from different manufacturing companies around
Zimbabwe

 Assist Dphil and Mphil researchers with aquatic biology related work both in the
laboratory and in the field
 Maintained aquaculture ponds with tilapia fish and ensure the environment for fish is
kept unpolluted
 Manufacture feeds for both juvenile and adult fish
