•Water treatment plant maintenance (DEMIN plant)
•Protection and maintenance of plant and equipment
•Knowledge of safety documents, Limitation Of Access(LOA),Permit To Work(PTW),Sanction For Test, Live Lines Permit to work, Visitors Enclosure.
•Knowledge of first aid
•Maintenance of Boiler side ,Turbine side, Coal plant Ash plant and DEMIN plant electrical equipment
•Ordering critical spares
•Repair and maintenance hoists, pumps ,cranes etc.
•Modification of machines should need arise in hardwiring and electrical equipment
•irect supervision of apprentices and liaising with the operators
•Air compressors maintenance
•Standby generator maintenance
•Knowledge of SHE,ISO,EMA
•Switchgear Maintenance, Testing & Installation,
•Transformers and transformer bays maintenance,
•Inspection and Brush Gear Maintenance of generators,
•Termination, cable jointing and fault finding,
•Battery inspection and maintenance,
•Maintenance of power generation station’s plant and equipment i.e. boilers ,turbines ,Coal ,ash and DEMIN plants
•Preventative and breakdown maintenance management
•Lights and lighting circuits maintenance
•Providing skill and knowledge to the operations team, and to support the operations, maintenance and problem solving activities of the operations teams.
•Carry out work during the planned maintenance window in accordance with the planned maintenance schedule issued by the planner.
•Participate in the Identification and Rationalisation of Critical Spares making orders when necessary
•Routine Maintenance: cleaning, lubrication and inspection in accordance with the maintenance schedule issued by the maintenance planner and the maintenance schedule,
•Carrying out power system maintenance of high voltage equipment (switchgear and transformers).
•Carrying out daily plant checks, inspection and recording of the data.
•Testing and approving of acquired spares.
•Watching Out For Potential Hazards On The Job And On The Plant.
•Enforces Safety Regulations At Work and good housekeeping
•Overhauling electric motors, wiring of motor starters and fault finding,
•Ensuring that safety rules and standards are kept and correct use of safety documents,
•Rebuilding of old panels e.g. of soot blowers
•Carrying out new projects resuscitation of coal weightier vibrators of boilers, wiring of the control circuit of soot blower and precipitators),
•Water treatment plant service and maintenance (DEMIN),
•Boiler repairs and maintenance,
•Basic lighting circuits of all forms,
•Good use of switch gear, limit switch and float switch,
•Participation in scheduled plant overhaul and maintenance of plant and equipment,
•Solar installations and calculations including battery bank and multiple solar systems maintenance
