An established manufacturing company is looking for a qualified and experienced candidate to join their accounting team. The incumbent will have to meet deadlines and should be accurate at all times. An understanding of Zimra regulations is an added advantage. Determined and focused candidates who have manufacturing industry exposure are invited to apply.

Requirements
  • Validate monthly industrial financial records
  • Timely and accurate reporting on actual versus budgeted results, forecasts, budgets, performance improvement programs and capital expenditure.
  • Drive the budget and forecast processes in the plant
  • Participate in monthly reconciliation of stock movement for all bulk materials in the plant. Ensure timely input and review data in captured in the ERP manufacturing module.
  • Organise and supervise periodic physical bulk material stock verification exercises. Coordinate stock taking process with the external surveyors
  • Run the process costing tool monthly to value stocks and unit costs of production, analysing and reporting on variances.
  • Assist budget holders with preparing capital expenditure proposals, including EVA calculations. Validate proposals prior to submission for approval.
  • Identify potential risk areas in production cost, stocks of raw materials, materials on progress and finished goods, stocks of spare parts and Capex
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports on plant performance including reports on the specials section as required by the plant management
