A global trading and distribution company with a network of offices and subsidiaries spanning more than 39 countries in Africa, Asia, and Europe is in search of a candidate to fill the role of Accounts Clerk for a 3 month fixed term contract (maternity cover). You will be responsible for providing accounting and clerical support to the accounting department and also run accounting software programs (e.g. SAP) to process business transactions.

Requirements
  • Keeping financial records updated
  • Preparing reports and reconciling bank statements.
  • Run accounting software programs (e.g. SAP) to process business transactions, like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts
  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
  • Type accurately
  • Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
  • Prepare bank deposits
  • General ledger postings and statements
  • Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
  • Provide assistance and support to company personnel
  • Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
  • Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
  • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
  • Constantly update job knowledge.
