This regional organisation runs training centers, youth (self-) employment programs and community activities. This role is based in Chitungwiza and key functions include financial management, Internal Control, and Administration. You will have demonstrable familiarity and experience with donor processes and regulations. You should also have NGO sector experience of at least 3 years.

Ability To | Ensure that the service in the finance department is provided correctly and in accordance with the institutional and donor financial management and accounting procedures |
Requirements
- Ensure all financial transactions strictly comply with organisation policies and with donor contracts and agreements, guidelines and regulations
- Prepare for internal and annual external audits
- Cash management: managing Petty Cash and ensuring that all petty cash transactions comply with the organisation’s cash management policy
- Ensure that all financial records are complete, up to date and filed systematically
- Accurately enter all daily transactions into the books of accounts, using Pastel and produce relevant reports for approval
- Perform monthly bank reconciliation statements
- Raise payment requisitions for authorisation in accordance with organisation’s authorisation grid and financial management policies
- Management of creditors and ensuring their timely payment
- Assist in the preparation of management accounts and project financial reports
- Perform month-end closing and year -end duties such as reconciliations, VAT reconciliations, PAYE returns, inventory lists, etc
- Ensure procurement activities are conducted in accordance with organisation’s procurement policy
- Calculating travel advances and reviewing travel settlements
- Provide assistance to programme staff and project budget preparation
- Performing any other duties, commensurate with the role
