Job vacancy Managing Director – Medical Health Insurance Products for Regional and International Markets

This newly created position of Managing Director shall report to the Group Chief Executive Officer at Head Office.

This role assists with the broader business and development growth of the group. You shall be part of a dynamic EXCO team. 

This challenging role shall develop and executes the company’s regional and international health and insurance business with various products offered and developed across regional and international markets. 

The development of medical and insurance products includes many services in global business and travel, education cover at university and other institutions, expatriate work assignments and other key client sectors.   

You are expected to lead the team in services offered across the business in areas of marketing, customer service, communication, finance, claims, technology,  by driving business growth for existing and new customer and client markets. You shall interface with key suppliers across all markets with assistance of others. Together you must drive solutions to ensure optimum growth of the scheme’s membership and market share through various business plans whereby platforms are launched, and products developed to meet client/customer/membership requirements. 

The role requires a dynamic leader with a first degree in chosen profession, and a post graduate MBA or alike. However, the emphasis on relevant senior management experience is a key requirement for our client consideration. Due to the significant growth and operational goals set for the business success you must be a seasoned leader. You must offer a business track record across the medical, insurance, banking sector with experience in marketing and sales, with the development and launch of successful key product lines.   Experience in setting up new strategic initiative in medical, banking or insurance products, locally, regionally, and internationally is also desired. This role would also attract a Zimbabwean in the diaspora looking to return home. Local applicants must currently operate at Head or Exco leadership level with a well known and respected institution.
