The Cotton Company of Zimbabwe (Cottco) is the leading cotton producer in the nation, holding an impressive 80% of the market share. After being privatized in 1994, Cottco has since implemented various initiatives to ensure the quality of the cotton produced; namely, by placing graders at all Cottco grading points across the country. These graders not only grade the seed cotton but also help farmers to increase their knowledge of grading and quality control. Additionally, the company utilizes Lumus brand ginneries to process the cotton, meeting the individual requirements and specifications of customers.
