An organized and efficient individual is sought after to fill the role of Cashier at a well-established and growing tobacco organisation. You must be available to start immediately. You will be reporting to the Retail Operations Manager and you will not only be receiving and issuing cash but also performing daily cash reconciliations and preparing cash for deposits among other duties assigned. A degree in accounting and experience as a bank teller would be ideal for this role.

Requirements

Serve customers by managing documents, information, and financial transactions in an organized, efficient, and secure manner
Maintain secured cash control at all times
Perform and submit day cash reconciliations, following up and report any cash variances
Process transactions, collect cash, and other forms for authorised payments from customers
Compliance with any laws and regulations and company procedures
Report any suspicious behaviour from customers, third parties and other employees
Build awareness of products and services, and identify customer needs to capitalize on opportunities
Meet and exceed service standards, greeting and acknowledging each customer to make them feel welcome, while complying with procedures and security protocols
Work with other tellers as a team to complete daily tasks while demonstrating respect and professionalism, being prompt, and supporting management as needed
Maintain a clean and organised work area
Resolve customer complaints by providing relevant information
Adhering to security protocols and safeguarding customer information
Participate in marketing campaigns and other related services
