Reporting to the Head Internal Auditor the position exists to develop an annual audit plan as well as significant control issues, the potential for improving risk management and control processes of the organisation. The incumbent provides periodic information on the status and results of the annual audit plan and assist in the investigation of significant suspected fraudulent activities within the organization, and monitor internal audit service delivery and improve on service standards.

Requirements
  • System documentation in all the departments to identify risk
  • Developing and executing an audit work plan
  • Assisting in appraising SMEDCO compliance with applicable
  • Liaising with external auditors and other regulatory author
  • Reporting significant control issues
  • Compiling draft audit reports
  • Conducting information technology systems audit
  • Examining internal ICT controls
