A leader in the FMCG sector requires an Assistant Financial Accountant to join them in their organisation. Required is a good understanding of accounting principles, knowledge of IFRS, ISA, Sage and the ability to work under pressure. You must have 2 years of experience preparing Financial Statements.

Software	SAGE Accounting Software
Knowledge Of	Financial Reporting and Budgeting
Skills To	Good understanding of accounting principles, knowledge of IFRS, Knowledge of ISA
Ability To	Work under pressure

Requirements

Conducts petty cash counts in sections that have petty cash count float.
Agrees petty cash used with receipts and addresses variances.
Posts petty cash expenditure in the general ledger
Obtains reports from sections to post various expenses in the general ledger.
Posts VAT not claimable, ice cash, accruals and provisions.
Preparation and posting of month end provisions e.g. bonus and incentives provision, audit provision, rebates etc.
Oversees the preparation of month end transactional journals
Updates trial balance after posting in preparation of the flash.
Reviews the trial balance to ensure posting completeness and accuracy.
Assists in the preparation of the monthly flash.
Prepares the overhead flash commentary and provides explanation of variances against previous month, budget, and prior year.
